Dr. David Griffin, an Idaho native, attended college at Brigham Young University where he graduated magna cum laude with a B.S. in Molecular Biology. He holds his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Central Florida in Orlando where he was elected into the Alpha Omega Alpha and Gold Humanism Honor Societies. He completed his ophthalmology residency at the nationally recognized Dean McGee Eye Institute in Oklahoma City. He has published research in multiple journals and presented at ophthalmic conferences around the country.
Dr. Griffin chose ophthalmology because he finds restoring vision deeply satisfying and he loves seeing the joy it brings patients. He is a comprehensive ophthalmologist and enjoys treating the full spectrum of ophthalmic disease. He has a genuine desire to treat his patients like family and to provide exceptional medical and surgical care for every person he sees. He offers the latest surgical options in both premium cataract and minimally invasive glaucoma surgery and will tailor treatment plans to each patient.
Dr. Griffin loves spending his free time with his incredible wife and two beautiful daughters. They enjoy traveling, rock climbing, and exploring the outdoors together. You may also find him playing the drums, trail running, fly fishing, or on the soccer pitch.
